from the Hungerstrike Commemoration in Bundoran 2007
The last Saturday in August has for over two decades been the day when Irish Republicans gather in Bundoran, County Donegal to remember the martyrs of the 1981 Hunger Strike in which ten brave young men died. The organizing committee are to be commended for their dedication and hard work in ensuring that the hunger strikers are remembered with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
As every other year this event was attended by Republicans from across the island of Ireland, as well as Scotland, England, Wales and Canada. A number of Cumann Na Saoirse Naisiunta/National Irish Freedom Committee activists were also in attendance.
