swim
The annual Cabhair Christmas Swim was held
on the Grand Canal at Inchicore, Dublin at 12 noon on Christmas
Day, 2006. Each of sponsored swimmers swam at least two widths
of the canal. Proceeds from the event, that has been held for
for the 30 years, go to the dependents of Irish republican
prisoners.
John Horan the Swim organizer, explained
the purpose and history of the event on Segment 3 of the NIFC's
Free Forum Video Series.
