A Free State Army unit in 2011 SPD Parade? Having
seen absolutely NOTHING in my in-coming eMail nor in any
press notices, at MY age, am I the sole watchman in
the US Irish republican community with this shocking
"intelligence"?
I have discovered that the 58th Reserve Infantry Battalion
of the Free State army marched in the New York/Fifth Avenue
parade on Friday, 3/17/2011. We never called it "the Irish
Army." Never. They marched in New York with not one
single soul demonstrating/protesting against its appearance
as a colonial, not as a republican Irish force. This bogus
"Irish Army" was created from British army units serving in
Ireland as the civil war began. From British uniforms one
night to "Irish Free State Army" uniforms the next morning.
In the land of the free, George Washington never flinched in
the face of tyranny and finally nailed our common
imperialist enemy at Yorktown. NO six provinces of our
nation were surrendered to London. No "stepping stone" to
Independence here. And no "American Free State" army here.
Is there no shame in our nation-wide American Irish
community that allows these bogus Irish soldiers to march in
this free land???
No matter how it's sliced, the "58th Reserve" unit is part
of the Free State army -- REGARDLESS WHETHER IT'S A RESERVE
OR REGULAR unit. SAME PAYMASTER. SAME LOYALTY -- not to
the Irish Republic.
[It assembled at 46th Street at 12:45PM]. MOREOVER, MEMBERS
OF THE SAME UNIT MARCHED IN THE 2010 NYC PARADE, as shown in
the Echo's issue following the 2010 parade, with news
item and color photo -- yet there has been dead silence from
the Republican community about this new Dublin strategy. Why
are American Irish republicans so meek and/or ill-informed?
It's leaders asleep? Do we not give a damn for being
out-flanked by that bogus Irish force that never fired a
single shot at Ireland's sole enemy to assert Ireland's
sovereignty? Not one trigger pulled -- except on UN
assignments abroad.
With this new departure, next year, in 2012, New York should
expect to see the Royal Ulster Rifles in the parade, then
the Irish Guards of the Buckingham palace crowd in the 2013
parade -- then in 2014 Mrs Brown's own entire Brigade of
Guards (i.e., the Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Welsh
Guards and Irish Gds.) marching to the tune of Garryowen, of
course. In 2015 we should expect the Royal Black and Tans
Memorial Society marching up Fifth Avenue arm and arm with
the British Legion and the remnants of the Royal Ulster
Constabulary?
Then, look for the Grand Imperial Denouement in 2016 --
centenary of the Easter 1916 Resurgam -- in which the Royal
Navy, based in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Galway,
Donegal Bay and its current Six County bases -- will stage a
pincer movement by marching its Royal Marines from each of
those "all-Ireland" UK Naval bases inland to the grave of
Theobald Wolfe Tone in Kildare to defile the most holy spot
in Ireland in the name of "military protocol," where Mrs
Brown on BBC, CNN and RTE will broadcast her apology for 847
yrs of murder, of ethnic cleansing, of cultural obliteration
and hanging the teachers, and burning their schools, so as
to produce an ignorant people (recalling Lord Byron's
statement in Parliament). She will also bring along an Irish
Chimpanzee that Queen Victoria's personal chaplain (Rev.
Charles Kingsley, a Cambridge Univ. professor of history)
declared he found in the two-legged creatures that populated
all of Ireland and even spoke the Queens English. "Yet," he
declared, "the Irish are as white as we are, and better off
now than they ever were ..." Ireland has been blessed to
have such Christian neighbors.

How best to assess the Dublin parliament's historical role
since the 1920s: By what rightful principle does that
parliament act in the name of the people of Ireland while
arbitrarily surrendering the sovereignty -- the very freedom
and rights -- of the people of the six northern counties,
without their consent as can be expressed in an island-wide
plebiscite, but one not influenced from abroad?
Are the American Irish so easily deceived by orchestrated
proclamations from Dublin and London? Have we of this
generation given up on the ancient northern lands of Ireland
where:
Saint Patrick is buried.
Where Brian Boru in buried
Where Roger Casement finally rests
Where Bobby Sands sacrificed his life
Where Bunting rescued old Irish airs from oblivion
Where the oldest humans settled in Ireland, 8,000 yrs ago
Where a spy of G. Washington, Hercules Mulligan, was born
Where Owen Roe gave England its greatest defeat: Benburb,
1645
Where his uncle gave England its second great defeat:
Yellowford, 1598.
Where Kingsley's chimpanzees have created a world-class
literature
Where Theobald Wolfe Tone founded the United Irishmen,
Belfast
Where Patrick anchored his missionary efforts, at Armagh,
450.
Where Bunting rescued the ancient harpist airs from oblivion
Where Columba, who founded Iona in Scotland, was born
Above all this, it's an Irish island nation, not English
