The Pipe -- a virtual sellout!

Over the years the Irish people have had very good reasons to give a wide berth to the word ‘sellout’. It carried the extremely unpleasant message of betrayal.
However on  Monday evening, March 26th , the word ‘sellout’ was thrown around with great glee by  people who were  lining up outside the IFC center in Lower Manhattan where The Pipe, a film about Shelltosea campaign in Co Mayo was making its’ debut in New York.
Many of those who were loudly proclaiming a sellout were in fact unable to get into see the film because it was --sold out.
People were lining up outside the IFC Center hoping for no shows and when that did materialize they comforted themselves with the knowledge that The Pipe is returning to the Big Apple on May 12th.
Irish Republicans who were present handed out a flyer stating that ‘the solution to Shell and corruption in Ireland was a federal Ireland, based on (Éire Nua /Saol Nua)
